Natural Light Newborn Session

This natural light newborn session for my giveaway winners was just perfection.

This lovely family won my session giveaway. And I am so glad they crossed my path! They are so sweet, genuinely kind, and all-around amazing to photograph. Plus, their newborn son is absolutely adorable. It was an honor to shoot in this beautiful family’s home.

One great part about in-home newborn sessions is how you can easily include every member of the family, even the furry ones! This couple’s adorable puppy was so photogenic. He loved being the center of attention, as you can see in the gallery. He is such a sweet pup who loves loves loves his baby brother! Including this little guy added an extra layer of cuteness to this natural light newborn session.

Another fun detail about this session is that these parents didn’t find out the baby’s gender until he was born. Not many couples choose to wait anymore, so I thought that was so cute! We started the session in baby boy’s nursery, where the décor was light, bright, and gender-neutral in the prettiest way.

Initially, Mama only wanted to feature the baby in this natural light newborn session. However, in the end, she was so happy that she and dad participated in the shoot. And their outfit choices were on point! Mama wanted to keep the session laid-back, so the couple chose really comfortable, casual outfits in cream, beige, and white.

Mom and dad each did two outfit changes while baby boy wore a few different garments from my newborn closet. So many parents I work with love that they can choose their baby’s outfit on the day of the session. Whether you have already chosen a look for your newborn session or not, you can always add pieces from my newborn closet for more variety.
